How do I actually change the resistance?
Each of the six latex cords clips into a snap buckle on the handle. To go lighter, unclip a cord. To go heavier, clip one back in. It takes under ten seconds and can be done one-handed, with no tools. Every cord adds roughly 15 LB, so you move from 15–30 LB on one or two cords, to 45–60 LB on three or four, up to 75–90 LB on all six.
Which resistance level should I start with?
Start with one or two cords, around 15 to 30 LB, for arm toning, warm-ups and shoulder-opening stretches. Move to three or four cords, 45 to 60 LB, once shoulder and back work feels easy. Five or six cords, 75 to 90 LB, is full-body work for experienced users. You do not need to guess, because you can change it any time.
Will the cords snap?
The cords are high-elasticity natural latex, which stretches to six times its length and springs back rather than tearing. They are pull tested beyond 10,000 cycles and covered by a 1 year snap-free warranty. If a cord snaps within that year, we replace it.
Does it contain latex? I have sensitive skin.
Yes, FLEX uses natural latex tubes, chosen because latex gives the highest elasticity and the best snap-back of any band material. It is odour-free and skin-friendly for most users. If latex irritates your skin, Resistance Band FLOW is moulded from silicone and contains no latex at all.
Can it really help with rounded shoulders from desk work?
That is what the chest expander movement is designed for. Pulling the band apart across the chest works the exact muscles that go weak from sitting: the rear shoulders, mid-back and trapezius. Ten minutes a day opens the chest and draws the shoulders back. It also trains arms, core, glutes and legs, covering eight muscle groups in total.
